FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA, December 31, 2002- The American Institute On Domestic Violence (AIDV) is the only organization in Arizona to be selected as one of our nations most innovative programs addressing the effects of domestic violence spillover into the workplace.

AIDV was selected from thousands of the most progressive non-profits, law enforcement agencies and grassroots community groups in America. Replication and adaptability were necessary qualities for a strategy to be included in the publication," said Jack Calhoun, President and CEO of the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC).

The NCPCs new publication, 50 Strategies To Prevent Violent Domestic Crimes", highlights the program and achievements of this local company. AIDV offers on-site consultation, training manuals & materials, custom-designed employee and supervisor workshops and conference and keynote presentations.

We are very honored to have been selected by the NCPC as one of the nations most cutting-edge programs combating domestic violence. The effects of domestic violence continue to seep into workplaces across America, creating unsafe workplaces for victims of violence as well as their co-workers and supervisors. Our program is tailored and individualized for different employers and work environments. It is our hope more employers will now step up to the plate" to assist their battered employees."

Copies of the NCPC publication are available by calling 800-NCPC-911.
