BALTIMORE, MD -- Announcing the release of the sixth issue of THE HUNGOVER GOURMET: The Journal of Food, Drink, Travel & Fun. The semi-annual publication brings recipes, restaurant write-ups, travelogues and reviews to a worldwide audience of food lovers, drink buffs, travel fans and media junkies.
THE HUNGOVER GOURMET (also known as THG) debuted as a publication in 1997 and earned rave reviews from critics thanks to its blend of humor, advice and retro design. Previous features included a guide to grilling, a look at armed forces cooking, a celebration of chili, and tales of travels through Pennsylvania Dutch country.
The new issue includes regular HUNGOVER GOURMET features like Bars We Love, hangover cures from readers, and reviews of the latest in pop culture. The main feature of the issue is 'Snack Attack, a collection of recipes, memories and stories about the wild and wonderful, sweet and salty world of snacks, appetizers and hors douvres.
Fittingly, editor Dan Taylor came up with the name THE HUNGOVER GOURMET after a night of partying with friends. Bored with the state of cooking shows and food magazines, Taylors first THG column celebrated White Castle hamburgers, and appeared in the pages of EXPLOITATION RETROSPECT, a long-running newsletter also published by Taylor.
THE HUNGOVER GOURMET #6 can be purchased for $4 postage paid from Dan Taylor, PO Box 5531, Lutherville, MD 21094-5531. The current issue and copies of back issues can also be purchased from the publications popular web site at www.hungovergourmet.com.
