Mrs. Kathirkamanayaki, a 52-year lady from Sri Lanka, had come to India to have dashan of Lord Ayyappa, along with her family members. En route, she developed chest pain and was brought to K.G. Hospital for cardiac evaluation. She underwent coronary angiogram in order to enable us to know the extent and exact location of arterial blockage. Dr. N. Bhaskar, Chief Cardiologist, diagnosed her as having left main coronary artery disease". It means the left side artery of the heart had got blocked to the extent of 90%; if it had been fully blocked, the patient would have developed a Cardiac Arrest.
