Unsigned Rock Guitarist Denis Taaffe Considered For Grammy Award In 9 Categories

Rock guitarist Denis Taaffe was selected for consideration of a Grammy award nomination in 9 categories for his newly released "Modern Rock Guitar.vol.III" CD

Bloomington,IN based solo electric rock guitarist Denis Taaffe has been selected for consideration of a Grammy award in the 2003 NARAS 45th Grammy Awards for his newly released CD "Modern Rock guitar.vol.III", which is the guitarist's third instrumental release featuring his unique multi-layered guitar style using regular guitar and guitar loops done on the fly. The voting members of NARAS will vote on the top 5 from the selected Entry lists who will be Grammy nominee's. Denis was included in 9 categories for his new CD "Modern Rock guitar. vol. III" and in one category he had 3 tracks included in out of 36 entries selected for Best Rock instrumental Performance. Denis is being considered for a Grammy in the following categories:

Record of the year for the track "the Cave"

Best new Artist for 2003

Best Rock Album for "Modern Rock Guitar vol.III"

Album of the Year for "Modern Rock Guitar vol.III"

Best Instrumental arrangement for the track "Capacitor"

Best Instrumental Composition for the track "the Cave"

Best Rock Instrumental Performance for the tracks "Capacitor", "the Cave" and "Ireland"

Denis is an indipendent artist, not signed to any label, so to be selected for consideration is a big honor for him. As Denis states, "well, to be considered for a grammy as an indipendent artist is really an honor and to be in categories with really well known artists is intimidating but at the same time, it is really is nice to have your music taken seriously.
