Thursday Jan 02 - CARSON CITY (PRWeb) - Diamond Offshore (NYSE: DO), a leader in deep water drilling, had announced the successful acquisition of the third-generation semi submersible drilling rig West Vanguard. The rig was purchased for $68.5 million, for the completion of ongoing work in Norway.
Just prior to that on Dec 11, Fulcrum initiated coverage with a "sell" signal and immediately following the rig's purchase, on Dec 18 Fhanestock also initiated coverage with a "neutral" signal.

Diamond Offshore closed up 3.11% Thursday Jan 02 at $22.53 on light volume of 481,200 compared to DOs average volume of 881,272.
