Hollywood's New Power Boys
Seemingly out of nowhere, Giovanni Agnelli and Scott Bloom have taken Hollywood by the horns, and have no plans of letting go anytime soon. Starting their production company in the spring of 2002, the young film and television producing duo have skyrocketed to A-list status.
MALIBU, Ca.-- Just the place you would expect to witness Hollywood glamour:
Seaside mansions, European autos, lavish parties, and of course the beautiful people are standard issue in this affluent beach community. So why is it, that this party would be any different from the hundreds of other parties Hollywood comes out for? Because tonight, dozens of Hollywoods most powerful citizens have gathered to celebrate a night of fashion, food, music, and environmental issues for two guys simply known as Giovanni and Scott.
Giovanni Agnelli, 30, and Scott Bloom, 29, formed Agnelli Bloom Productions, a film and television production company less then one year ago, in that very short amount of time, they have skyrocketed to the Hollywood A-list.
Agnelli and Bloom are undeniably charming, young, and handsome, but what is it about them that caught the eye of Hollywoods elite? When asked, one studio exec replied The first time they walked into my office, my assistant almost had a heart attack over their amazing eyes," she says. Their looks don't hurt, but overall these guys have an amazing eye for good material, being able to balance what the studio wants, with what the talent wants, that's the key"
So why did several hundred people turn out for the Malibu event? Star power, plain and simple.
Agnelli and Bloom are working with some of the biggest and brightest stars in Hollywood, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Penny Marshall to name but a few. They have been called the most connected team in Hollywood. The guys are equally at home flying with billionaire Ron Burkle on his private 757, or as guests of the Maloof brothers at The Palms casino in Las Vegas, or just hanging out at a greasy spoon with friends" Says one longtime friend. "Alright, so their friends happen to be the most successful movie stars on the planet, one thing is for sure, the buzz is only getting louder." And with that, I would have to agree.
