WebitPR Defies the Market with Record Figures

WebitPR, the unique online news distribution and monitoring company, has defied the struggling IT and Telecoms markets it specialises in by posting record growth in 2002.

WebitPR, the unique online news distribution and monitoring company, has defied the struggling IT and Telecoms markets it specialises in by posting record growth in 2002.

Launched in early 2001, the company expanded steadily in its first operating year but 2002 has seen major growth.

"At the beginning of 2002, we knew this would be a key year for WebitPR. We knew the market was unlikely to recover but we had faith that our unique offering of unrivalled online news distribution - coupled with built-in coverage monitoring - would be a winner," said Jonathan Dolby, Managing Director of WebitPR.

"People in PR in telecoms and IT are looking for value for money and results. Our performance on both counts has seen us consistently beat our sales targets throughout the year. The targets we set for ourselves were based on a level of growth whereby new clients would have to be won. We managed to do that on a regular basis, winning both PR agencies and corporate organisations in equal measure."

As for 2003, WebitPR has ambitious plans with a new database covering Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology to be launched in the next few weeks.

"The new database will give WebitPR a whole new area of activity, and open us up to many more agencies and corporate organisations. We are also looking at further range-expansion later on in the year through the launch of new databases, as well as the continued research and development of sectors we currently cover," said Mr Dolby.
