New web domain names for China are now available from Easyspace.
Easyspace has established a local office for the Asia Pacific region.
8th January 2003 -- Chinas e-commerce market currently valued at $500 million per year is projected to expand to $23 billion within three years.
The two-letter country code top-level domain .cn, designating China, is expected to be available for registration through www.easyspace.com from January 2003. The .cn domains will be available to the entire global Internet community enabling anyone anywhere in the world to register and is no longer limited to the Chinese in China.
As a leading authorised ICANN registrar, www.easyspace.com is now accepting com.cn, net.cn and org.cn registrations for just US$29 per year.
Business around the world has been offered a gateway to the emerging e-commerce market that is developing in China. The Chinese community around the world will be able to prosper as a result of advantages a .cn domain name will provide in order to trade with China.
Demand for Internet services in Asia shows strong actual growth and almost unlimited potential. In the next few years a large part of this will be as a result of the liberalisation of Internet policies in the Peoples Republic of China where there are currently 20.56 million computers connected to the Internet and an estimated 54.35 million Internet users. The number of Internet users in China will see extraordinary growth during the next three years.
Easyspace Ltd is opening regional offices in Bangkok Thailand from January 2003. This initiative enables Easyspace to tap into growing demand for Internet services in the South East Asia and in particular China.
Company co-founder and CEO Erik Young has established the new South East Asia office to develop a regional base for the company. To celebrate the opening of their new regional office, Easyspace has donation of 300,000 Thai Baht to sponsor three young sisters who were used to smuggle and deal millions of amphetamine pills by their parents. The girls were rescued and are in the care of The Human Development Foundation Bangkok (www.fatherjoe.org).
China and South East Asia represent a huge growth potential for Internet services" says Erik Young, co-founder and CEO of Easyspace. Easyspace is now poised to offer the region domain name registration and web hosting and dedicated server options at affordable prices."
