January 6, 2003. Washington, DC. Three Washington DC-based organizations known for dynamic conferences for working professionals announce the appointment of Deneen Vaughn as Director of Marketing and Events.
The Business Womens Network (BWN), Diversity Best Practices (DBP), and Best Practices in Corporate Communications (BPCC) host such events as the annual Diversity and Women Leadership Summit & Gala and the WOW! Facts launch.
Edie Fraser, President and Founder of all three organizations, said Given Deneens leadership and specialized expertise in event management, she will be a crucial component of our work bringing together advocates for equality and inclusion in business. Her vast background managing the many details of high-profile events will help our organization broaden our reach to new constituencies."
Vaughn brings experiences in general management, marketing, event promotions, customer service, E-business and media to her position. She will support the expansion of BWN and DBP as premier resources for issues affecting women and minorities, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, she will support the event planning for BPCCs outreach to corporate communicators in leading companies around the globe.
Most recently Ms. Vaughn enjoyed success planning and facilitating meetings for a wide variety of clients, including local government and civic organizations and Fortune 500 corporations. Projects in the womens and diversity business field included developing outreach to various segments of the womens market and creating effective recruitment and retention initiatives.
Vaughns also spent much of her career with telecom provider MCI, where she managed more than 350 events and produced over 100 corporate videos. A member of the International Special Event Society, Vaughn is a mother or three and serves on several committees on the Fairfax, VA school board.
