Red Jacket Finishes Up Tour with Borders Books and Music

New York, NY (January 11, 2003)-Red Jacket, the New York City based singer-songwriter-guitarist, will be appearing at Borders Books and Music on Saturday, January 25th 8PM --10PM in Stony Brook, Long Island. This will be the final performance of a five-date tour with Borders, which began in December of 2002. Red Jacket, who is a Long Island native, will be appearing with her band featuring bassist Jairo Ruiz and percussionist Holly Rock.

Red Jackets music is a montage of primal guitar power rock infused with a sonic sensibility. The songs are confessional, cryptic, and heart felt. The name Red Jacket was adapted from the Native-American chief from the Buffalo, NY area who believed in preserving his culture and staying true to his beliefs. This parallels the same philosophy of the music of Red Jacket. Red Jacket is a step above a songwriter. Shes a composer, structuring, coloring, and arranging music, putting something supernatural together" (Indie-Music.com).
