The Wharton School Private Equity Club will host its 9th Annual Private Equity Conference on Jan. 24, 2003, at the Park Hyatt Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia, Pa. As one of the most prestigious student-run conferences of its kind, the event will feature prominent industry leaders and provide a unique networking opportunity for those who have a passion for private equity and venture capital investing. The keynote speakers will be:

•   Mr. Leon Black, Founding Partner Apollo Management L.P.
•   Mr. Larry Schloss, Global Head of the Private Equity Group at Credit Suisse First Boston
•   Mr. Edward Mathias, Managing Director of The Carlyle Group

Continuing on its tradition as a forum for discussion about the most important issues in private equity, this years Conference will address topics such as the outlook for deal flow, challenges in fundraising, structuring deals for maximum returns, and managing portfolio companies through difficult markets.

The Conference panels will cover leveraged buyouts, venture capital, middle-market buyouts, mezzanine investing, international private equity, distressed debt, and new demands for disclosure.
