New privately funded project to support dreams, goals and emergency car repairs for women.

a brand new project developed to support women in need - a gifting program for low-income or circumstantially challenged women, designed to cut through the red tape and bureaucracy of government agency channels for support.

For Immediate Release: January 13, 2003

We Give WINGS -- a brand new project developed to support women in need -- has opened its doors to the public and needs your help! We Give Women Incentive to Never Give up on Success is an internet site -- www.WeGiveWINGS.com -- and a gifting program for low-income or circumstantially challenged women, designed to cut through the red tape and bureaucracy of government agency channels for support.

WINGS is not a hand out, but a gentle hand UP! It operates under the auspices of an already popular and successful womens business site -- www.Womans-Net.com -- owned and run by CEO, Kim Haas. WINGS is funded by a portion of membership fees from Womans-Net, and by generous contributions from private individuals and companies. Haas created WINGS to acknowledge and respond to the regular stream of requests for help that Womans-Net receives every month.

Funding decisions are determined by an anonymous panel for various needs: crisis situations where a onetime payment will mean the difference between success and distress, emergency repairs (car, furnace, stove, computer...) or specific expenses that will help ensure the success of a home based business project. Grants will not be given for regular expenses: Rent, car payments, regular utility bills, credit cards, dry cleaning, etc. Funds are not intended to replace regular income. When exceptional circumstances have created a financial crisis, onetime grants may be made for basic shelter or food expenses.

Officially opening for business on January 5, 2003, the new We Give WINGS Project is now accepting contributions to the fund, through their website. Contributions are not tax-deductible at this time. Cash contributions may be made by cheque, PayPal or 2checkout (using a credit card) or money order. Monthly pledges are also accepted. In addition, we are pleased to accept contributions of product and services that may be of assistance to our fundees. Please see the website for details of current requests.
