MindSolve Technologies now satisfies the highest standards for safeguarding the security and privacy of the performance management database, consisting of assessment and development information for thousands of international clients. These privacy and security standards are embodied in the Safe Harbor framework, developed jointly by the European Commission and the United State Department of Commerce.

MindSolve Technologies "led the way to the web" for the employee performance management industry with the first Internet-based drag-and-drop software for collecting performance evaluations and 360-degree feedback, according to MindSolve's Chief Technology Officer Dan Boccabella. "Our early presence on the web required that we adopt and update the highest levels of security, from day one," he adds. "Our clients trust us to safeguard some very sensitive information, and the Safe Harbor program recognizes our guarantee of that sanctity."

Under Safe Harbor provisions, employee privacy is protected. Data pertaining to identifiable individual employees cannot be disclosed to any third party, or used for purposes other than the cause for which data are collected, without a given individual's explicit consent. Additionally, all data must be protected from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

"That kind of strict security is also nothing new to MindSolve," says Boccabella. "We were very early adopters of 128-bit data encryption, and undertook a major effort to offer that level on a worldwide basis, with compatibility with multiple web- browsers." Such security is essential to MindSolve's international clients, who provide data from locations in over 50 countries, confident their data transmissions enjoy state-of-the-art security.
