(PRWEB) January 15, 2003 -- Nevada Hispanic Services (NHS) and DM Productions LLC have recently agreed to terms to have DM Productions produce Cinco de Mayo Reno for the next five years. Last year, more than 100,000 people attended the downtown family cultural event that is co-sponsored by the City of Reno and benefits Nevada Hispanic Services. It was called by FOX Television the biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration on the West Coast.
Doug Collins, president and founder of DM Productions, LLC is pleased Nevada Hispanic Services selected his company for this important special event.
Our team put together last years event in less than 90 days. It was bigger and more successful than we anticipated as it struck a chord in our community. The best way to reach Latinos is through culture and not just translating your advertising into Spanish, Collins said.
For Cinco de Mayo 2003, we have turnkey responsibility. We engaged a steering committee to help make this event a cultural celebration for everyone in our community. Our founding sponsors are also eager to participate and make 2003 an even bigger event," added Collins. It really is gratifying to see the overwhelming response from the business community including the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce and the RSCVA. Cinco de Mayo Reno 2003 is a great downtown Reno event with the potential to grow into another Hot August Nights."
DM Productions, LLC, a strategic consulting firm based in Reno since 1994, are seasoned professionals when it comes to producing special events in the Truckee Meadows. They chaired the production of Celebrity Winterfest (Benefiting Special Olympics) with headliners Arnold Schwarzenegger and Clint Eastwood. Other special events that DM Productions has worked with include the Reno Film Festival, Alzheimers Memory Walk, A Day on the Village Green Concourse dElegance, exhibitions with the National Automobile Museum, and music festivals benefiting cancer research for Expedition Inspiration.
In today's business environment, limited resources and budgets must be focused carefully
to achieve success. A growing number of companies are turning to consultants to provide them with turnkey solutions to their projects," shared Collins.
