TynTec Launches High Performance Mobile Messaging Service Platform in Partnership with Manx Telecom

TynTec, a leading European messaging service provider, and bmd wireless, the supplier of core network messaging solutions, today announced the commercial launch of TynTecs mobile messaging service platform located at Manx Telecom.

January 14, 2003 - Douglas, Isle of Man and Zug, Switzerland - TynTec, a leading European messaging service provider, and bmd wireless, the supplier of core network messaging solutions, today announced the commercial launch of TynTecs mobile messaging service platform located at Manx Telecom. Through its direct SS7 access to the international GSM network, TynTec guarantees superior service levels for the global exchange of SMS and MMS. Representative customers include content providers, retailers, corporations and telecom operators that require high reliability and performance for crucial business or consumer services.

Most messaging service providers in the market today do not have an adequate technical infrastructure and the resources to deliver a full range of quality messaging services," said Ralph Eric Kunz, TynTecs President and CEO. By exclusively focusing on quality-of-service messaging, Tyntec addresses a clearly under-served market by providing high-performance and superior mobile messaging services."

TynTec today offers standard and premium SMS services (Push and Pull, 2 Way and Premium SMS) to its corporate customers. TynTec also serves telecom operators by providing managed services such as MMS Hosting, GSM-TDMA Messaging Interconnect, Fixed-line SMS and IP Messaging Offloading. TynTec partners with application developers by granting a seamless channel to market into the wireless space.

TynTec differentiates itself through many unique features such as providing its own UK number range for cross network SMS (e.g.+44 7624 80 TAXI) -- especially suited for pull based marketing or retail applications as well as its ability to provide delivery receipts for practically all GSM networks," confirms Tom Meageen, Vice President Business Develpment of TynTecs network partner Manx Telecom. TynTecs infrastructure is specifically tailored towards business-critical messaging applications."

TynTecs infrastructure is based on a bmd wireless core network messaging solution, which includes the Wireless Application Messaging Server (WAMS) and Value Added Service Platform (VASP). The reliability and performance of bmds systems give us the competitive edge we need for our mission critical messaging services," said Thorsten Trapp, TynTecs CTO and Co-founder.
