realMethods and Casari & Asociados Target the South American J2EE Marketplace
Alpharetta, GA, January 15th, 2003 Â realMethods announces a VAR agreement with Casari & Asociados, a Chilean based consulting company specializing in providing clients with expertise in the Unified Process using Rational and Casewise products. Under this agreement, C&A will resell the realMethods J2EE Framework and methodology to incorporate best of breed patterns into J2EE based applications.
ÂIn order to effectively reach the thousands of non-US companies now evaluating our J2EE framework, we intend on forming strategic partnerships with companies that have a presence in key global markets said Steven Randolph, CTO of realMethods. ÂThe South American market is maturing with respect to J2EE acceptance. The relationship between our two companies is a natural fit since C&A already has a foothold in South America with clients that are both UML literate and forging ahead with J2EE as their enterprise platform of choice.Â
ÂMany companies in Chile are exploring the J2EE space without much knowledge of what exactly it means in terms of skills, architecture and development practices says Adolfo Casari, principal of C&A. Ârealmethods offer a layer of abstraction from low level J2EE API, so an enterprise application is better prepared to resist changes in both the requirements and the underlying J2EE platform without a huge impact to the IT organization. It also raises the productivity of J2EE programming, a key issue in J2EE adoptionÂ.
The realMethods Framework provides selectable design pattern based code generation for all tiers, as well as a set of core J2EE services and components. Together, these capabilities provide developers the means to rapidly generate and build applications that are compliant with SunÂs Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) standards, as well as SunÂs core J2EE Design Patterns.
