Harris Corporation Expands Professional Tool Kits Line For Electrical and Telecom Technicians

Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), a leading supplier of telecommunications test sets and tools, today introduced three new tool kits, expanding the Pro-Tool Kit Series of professional installation tools required by electrical and telecommunications technicians to perform professional voice, data and video installations.

We launched our first compact Pro-Tool Kit line with the IS50 and IS40 kits in April of 2002, and demand for them has been excellent," said Steve Coker, director of marketing, Harris Network Support Division. These new kits further enhance Harris position as the leading voice, data, and video tools supplier. "

The new IS60 Deluxe kit features the Harris D914®S Impact Tool, with a built-in combination hook/spudger for tracing and removing wires and a ergonomic soft-grip handle for better comfort and performance while helping to reduce hand fatigue; the new Electricians D-Snips with ergonomic handle for increased leverage and cutting force; Harris EverSharp 66/110 combo blade; Cable Stripper; Mini Maglite®; and Sharpie® pen. The new IS25 kit features the Electricians D-Snips, a cable knife and Mini Maglite; and the new IS15 kit comes with the Electricians D-Snips and cable knife. All kits come in their own custom-molded Dur-a-Grip pouch.

Each IS kit pouch is engineered from an innovative composite material and molded around the specific tools so they fit snugly in place. The Dur-a-Grip pouches really set these kits apart," commented Paul Alexander, product line manager, Harris Network Support Division.
