Dendron Historical Society gets new domain!

The Dendron Historical Society's website can now be accessed directly through their new domain: http://www.DendronVA.org -- The Dendron Historical Society (DHS) collects, preserves and displays various items related to the history of the Town of Dendron; Surry Lumber Co., and the Surry, Sussex and Southampton Railroad.

The Dendron Historical Society (DHS) collects, preserves and displays various items related to the history of the Town of Dendron; Surry Lumber Co., and the Surry, Sussex and Southampton Railroad. There is a recent new addition of historical information on the neighboring communities around the Town of Dendron.

The Dendron Historical Society also makes copies of the The Book available -- The Book is otherwise known as "The Comp'ny" by H. Temple Crittenden. This is the third edition of the book. It was orginally published in 1967 with a second printing in 1976. This is a limited printing. The Comp'ny is the story of the Surry Lumber Company, the Surry, Sussex and Southampton Railroad and the Town of Dendron. The Comp'ny operated from 1885 til 1930. This is the story from beginning to end of the adventure of the Comp'ny.
