First Guaranty Bank today announced that 22-year career banker David S. Henderson will lead First Guaranty's expansion into the high-growth area of Jacksonvilles Southside known as Point Meadows as Branch Manager of the Point Meadows Banking Office.

Henderson joined First Guaranty from SouthTrust Bank where Henderson was Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager at the Beach Blvd Office. His main responsibility was business development.

"David's roots in community banking, along with his reliably high level of industry accomplishments and enthusiasm for customer service, will help us increase our customer base and provide high-touch banking in the Southside," said Ann Walker, First Guaranty Assistant Vice President, Branch Administration.

Henderson has will relocated from the King Street banking office to the new office at 10903 Baymeadows Road at 9A. Joining him serving customers at the new banking office are Jacky Warriner, CSR, and tellers Diane Jones and Jennifer Johnson.

"David is a natural at developing meaningful relationships as a respected business and civic leader," said Julian E. Jay" Fant III. "He is a volunteer on the finance committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Florida, sits on the Board of Management for the South Metro YMCA, and is a member of the Southside Business Men's Club as well as the Small Business Resource Network."

Henderson explained that expansion of First Guaranty's Duval footprint is a key to making the banks legendary service conveniently available to all Jacksonville residents and businesses seeking a higher level of service and support. "We intend to put into action the same sales-and-service strategies that have contributed to success in our existing neighborhood banking offices."
