10 Annual Florida Wildlife and Western Art Expo returns to Lakeland Florida.

International artists display paintings, sculpture and photography for sale at the Expo. New for 2003, artists arrive early to paint on site at locations through-out polk county. Painting demonstrations are open to the public.

International Art Exposition Celebrates Ten Years
of Extraordinary Art!

The Florida Wildlife and Western Expo is a grand celebration of our natural world, Widely acclaimed as one of the Nations premier art events, the Expo brings the Nations finest wildlife, landscape and sporting artists to Lakeland as well as live wildlife exhibits, The Florida DU Artist of the Year competition, The Federal Duck Stamp Finalist and new for 2003 the Plein air" painting demonstration and art exhibit.

Fine Arts Showroom: Headlining the 2003 Exposition is Artist of the Year Maynard Reece and joining Maynard are Special Guest Artists Terry Isaac, Rod Frederick and Patricia Pepin. Of course artists from all over the world will be in attendance sharing an artist-eye-view" of our Nations natural treasures. Attendants will see original paintings, original sculpture, bronzes, limited edition prints, carvings and photography in every price range. Expo visitors can start their art collection for as little as fifty dollars or as much as tens of thousands. There really is something for every taste and budget at the 2003 Expo.

Conservation Row: Genisis Zoological & Wildlife Rehab Center, Survival Outreach Sanctuary and Paw Print Productions will join us with exotic and endangered species on display. The exhibit is intended raise awareness to the plight of some of our most magnificent creatures.

Plein Air Painting Demonstration and Exhibit: fourteen artists including John and Suzie Seerey-Lester, Mary Erickson, Thomas Brooks and Daniel Ambrose will arrive early in Lakeland on Wednesday January 29th to take part in Plein air" painting demonstrations at various locations around Lakeland. Plein air is a french term that means to paint outdoors, sometimes referred to as "field studies". Demonstrations begin 8 a.m. Wednesday January 29th at Hollis Gardens in Lakeland, public welcome. Its a great opportunity to witness world class artists in action as they create incredible works of art right in front of your eyes. Youll also have the chance to view and purchase these unique works of art at a special exhibit inside the Expo showroom.

Florida DU & Federal Duck Stamp Exhibit: Florida Ducks Unlimited will award the title Florida DU Artist of the Year" at the Expo Preview Gala Thursday evening, The winning painting will be used for the Florida DU 2003 sponsor print. The Florida DU and The Federal Duck Stamp exhibit will feature the finalist from each competition.

Hours are 10 AM to 6 PM, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Lakeland Center, Downtown Lakeland
January 31st, February 1st & 2nd, 2003. Adult daily admission is $8.00. Children under 12 are free.
