Web design training set to make Scotlands websites more accessible

The Making Connections Unit (MCU), based in Glasgow Caledonian University, has formed a partnership with the training and consultancy business ScotConnect to offer two new training courses for those who would like to build 'accessible' websites, and for those responsible for accessibility related policies. With increasing competition for traffic on the web, it is more important than ever that UK organisations ensure their websites are accessible to the widest possible audience. An accessible website helps to reduce support costs, increase visitor loyalty and increase visitor numbers - and ensures compliance with the UK Disability Discrimination Act.
