The pro-life struggle for the hearts and minds of a generation moves to television in February with the broadcast of a special film.
The Family Christian Entertainment Satellite Channel -- also known as FaithTV -- will air the award-winning, low budget movie "one day in may" on Feb. 8 at 8 pm.
Set in the waiting room of an abortion clinic, "one day in may" tells the story of a college senior who must overcome shame and abuse to fight for the life of his girlfriend's unborn baby and co-stars Maria Bellantoni (ER, Law & Order), John-Paul Lavoiser (One Life to Live) and Chrisie Penna.
Dubbed a "Gen. X/Y Breakfast Club" meets the "ANTI-Ciderhouse Rules", the film strips away the politically correct gloss of "choice" to reveal the true nature of a day at an abortion clinic -- a traumatizing experience that is almost always fatal to an innocent, unborn baby and increases a woman's risk for breast cancer, suicide and depression, among other documented health problems.
Since 1973, nearly 42 million unborn babies in the US have been killed by abortion.
Debuting at the recent WYSIWYG Film Festival in San Francisco, "one day in may" won the award for "Most Creative Story Line".
FaithTV, launched in June of this year, presents programs that communicate Christian truth through content that entertains, edifies and educates.
FaithTV is available nationwide through the Dominion Sky Angel DBS (Direct Broadcast Satellite) Television & Radio System (CH 9708), the world's only Christian direct-to-home satellite television and radio service. Sky Angel delivers dozens of channels of Christ-centered and family-friendly TV and radio to homes and churches that become equipped with a small, affordable 18-inch satellite dish. FaithTV is carried on a growing network of Christian Television Stations in the United States and around the globe.
