CVT now accepting subscriptions for quarterly journal "The Rule of Reason"
Washington, DC-Citizens for Voluntary Trade announced that its new quarterly publication, The Rule of Reason," will debut online on Monday, February 17, 2003. CVT is now actively seeking interested individuals and organizations to support The Rule of Reason as charter subscribers.
There is a lack of information-sharing among victims of unjust antitrust prosecution," CVT President Skip Oliva said. Various professions are being targeted by the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Justice Department, yet there is little communication among these individuals. The result has been a successful 'divide-and-conquer strategy on the part of antitrust authorities."
The Rule of Reason will feature analytical essays and in-depth investigations of FTC and DOJ activities, with an emphasis on the businessmens point-of-view. Current antitrust publications only address antitrust professionals, people with an interest in perpetuating the status quo," Oliva said. Our publication is aimed at building a broad-based consensus for reducing, and eventually eliminating, the arbitrary powers of antitrust."
In its debut issue, The Rule of Reason will feature a cover story on the plight of physicians to assert their economic rights in the face of FTC and DOJ tyranny. For years the United States Government has waged an aggressive war against the rights of physicians and their consultants, falsely maintaining that the law prohibits doctors from collectively bargaining with insurance companies. In fact, the government is merely protecting the cartel-like power of HMOs and other non-capitalist entities from having to face a truly free marketplace."
A one-year Internet subscription to the Rule of Reason will cost $15 if ordered before February 1, 2003, and thereafter for $17 annually. We are exclusively distributing the Rule of Reason via the Internet in order to maximize distribution efficiency while minimizing administrative overhead," Oliva said. Subscribers will receive a password to access each issue online at www.ruleofreason.com, and a PDF copy can be individually e-mailed upon request. Subscriptions can be purchased using a credit card at CVTs website, www.voluntarytrade.org/journal.htm
The Rule of Reason, like CVT, is operated as a nonprofit entity. Proceeds for subscription sales will support advocacy and educational programs, including continued efforts to combat the governments anti-physician policies.
