Currently the site carries the History of April Fool's Day plus many of the more entertaining and popular stories to appear in the news in the past 10 years. The site was conceived to fill a gap in the market on the Internet. The folks at Digital Enterprises (owners of April Fools R Us) noticed that only sub-domains were coming up in the search engine for the keyword search "april fools."

Because only parts of other sites were devoted to the most mischievous day of the year," co-founder Susan Larsen says, we decided to take a chance and devote an entire site to this subject. We clearly thought people would be interested in finding all sorts of April Fools Day information in one place."
