LOS ANGELES, CA (January 24, 2003) -- Academy Award®, Golden Globe Award® and multiple Emmy Award®-winning actress CLORIS LEACHMAN will reprise her role as Mrs. Fremont" for the sequel to the classic ROD SERLING TWILIGHT ZONE episode Its A Good Life" for the TWILIGHT ZONE television series on UPN. The sequel titled Its Still A Good Life" is shooting in Vancouver this week.

Its A Good Life" first aired in November 1961 and starred BILL MUMY as six-year-old Anthony Fremont" who uses his supernatural powers to terrorize the small town of Peakesville, Ohio. Ms. Leachman played Mumys young mother. The episode was based on the short story by JEROME BIXBY and directed by JAMES SHELDON. Mumy will also reprise his role.

Ms. Leachman is one of Americas most beloved and celebrated entertainers. An Oscar® winner (THE LAST PICTURE SHOW) and two-time Golden Globe Award® winner, Ms. Leachman earned a record eighth Emmy Award® in 2002 for her guest-starring appearance on the hit FOX comedy MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE. She is the only actress to win Emmy's® in five separate categories, and the first performer in history to win the award for seven different productions.

On television, Ms. Leachman gained national fame as Phyllis Lindstrom" on THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW and her title role spin-off series PHYLLIS. Television viewers also know her as Beverly Ann" on THE FACTS OF LIFE. Her most recent leading role on television was playing ELLEN DEGENERES mother on CBS THE ELLEN SHOW.
On the big screen, Ms. Leachmans characters have secured her place in film history. Her more than forty films include HANGING UP, MUSIC OF THE HEART, THE IRON GIANT, BEAVIS & BUTT-HEAD DO AMERICA, THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES, HIGH ANXIETY, HISTORY OF THE WORLD: PART 1 and BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID. Ms. Leachman just wrapped production on the features LOOSELY BASED ON A TRUE LOVE STORY with KATE HUDSON and LUKE WILSON and BAD SANTA opposite BILLY BOB THORNTON.
