Theres More to Online Auctions Than Just Ebay!

When everyone talks online auctions, the first thing that comes to mind is Ebay. However one auction service is thriving by concentrating on just one niche - collectibles. Whybidmore Collectibles has just announced WhyBidMores first annual Weirdest Collection" contest where people are encouraged to submit a photograph (or video) and brief description of their weird collection.

When everyone talks online auctions, the first thing that comes to mind is Ebay. However one auction service is thriving by concentrating on just one niche - collectibles.

Dr. Christopher LaBuda started WhyBidMore Collectibles" in order fix a problem area he thought his large competitor was having - and that was giving those people that are passionate about their collections a place to buy and sell exclusively for them. Dr. LaBuda states, Over the last year or so, Ebay seems to have been taken over by people and companies wanting to sell discontinued or surplus items. People wanting to sell collections like baseball cards, coins or comic books do not seem to be getting a high rate of sales. The reason might be because those sections of Ebay do not get the visibility they did when Ebay was new and not dominated by 'Power Sellers." Chris adds, Ebays fees have been going up steadily so people trying to sell their collections arent making the money they use to."

Dr. LaBuda started www.WhyBidMore.com to give those people that wanted to buy or sell collectibles and collections a place they can call home". Chris has just announced WhyBidMores first annual Weirdest Collection" contest where people are encouraged to submit a photograph (or video) and brief description of their weird collection.

Dr. LaBuda and his staff will then select the Weirdest Collection of 2003". The grand prize is one years worth of free action listings on www.WhyBidMore.com. People with weird collections are asked to submit their photos and descriptions by July 1, 2003 to: WhyBidMore", Attn: Dr. Christopher J. LaBuda, Box 2611, Kensington, MD 20814.
