Has the weather gone to the dogs?

One website say it most certainly has gone to dogs, cats etc..!

www.petweather.com The only website dedicated to weather forecasting for pets says yes.

The site features a search option for weather conditions in a specific area, along with articles that educate pet owners on how to care for pets in various types of weather.

The site was developed by Amanda Sanchez an abc television weather anchor at KOLO Television in Reno, Nevada, and animal activist, making Sanchez the first weather forecaster for pets. Sanchez knew there was a need and wanted people to understand that just because an animal has fur does not mean they can survive certain temperatures. Sanchez was surprised at the thousands of visitors the site has seen since its launch in December 2002.

"People all over the country have emailed me to ask what climates are best for their pets and how to protect them from harsh enviornments". The information on the site could save the life of a pet just by educating its owner of weather related conditions in their area" says Sanchez.

It's a fact that weather and pet related websites are among the most searched for on the internet. This may be the reason it has pet lovers ready for pet forecasting.
