CUSTOMER CARE COMES FIRST IN SIEMENS ANNOUNCEMENT
Siemens Communications is launching the first of its revolutionary Application Packs for the Realitis DX to help users be more responsive to their own customers' needs.
Siemens Communications is launching the first of its revolutionary Application Packs for the Realitis DX to help users be more responsive to their own customers' needs.
Siemens developed the new Application Pack upgrade scheme - available for all Realitis users who have upgraded to Revision 8 - so companies could be more responsive to change and upgrade their system in a targeted and highly cost-effective manner. And this first Application Pack will further improve the service Realitis users offer to their customers.
Among the features of the first Application Pack is Name Tagging, which provides a database to link incoming call numbers with their owner's identity - allowing the call to be answered by welcoming the caller by name. There will also be a Trunk Route Announcement feature, which will provide users with more information about the call route they are using. This information, which is totally definable by the customer, could include announcements regarding the security of the trunk route, or an alert if the user has been routed across an expensive PSTN line instead of an internal network link.
"In today's cut-throat competitiveness, our customers need to feel that Siemens is doing everything it can to help them retain their own customers," said Siemens Marketing Manager, Kris Hardiman.
"Personalised answering not only gives the caller a warmer welcome than normal but it portrays the receiving organisation as efficient and organised.
Response from our customers has already been extremely positive".
Revision 8 enables companies to buy Application Packs to suit particular requirements, rather than committing to the major expense of a total upgrade in order to operate perhaps just a few of its features. Companies opting for either of the new applications will get Remote Board ID. This allows Siemens greater access to the installation to carry out remote fault diagnosis and repair and therefore improves the efficiency of the service Siemens provides free of charge.
Siemens Communications plans to launch new Application Packs 3-4 times a year and is already working on its next release. This is likely to include a simple-to-use Voice Prompting Facility to allow easy access to a users network from mobile or remote locations.
"The Application Packs provide serious value for our customers," said Mr Hardiman.
"They will give the customer the one or two applications they are looking for and not a bundled upgrade that may include software functionality that may never be needed. Application Packs will be available more regularly than previous upgrades and delivery times will be greatly reduced and unparalleled in this industry".
The Realitis DX has been the backbone of UK business communications for more than a decade. Developments such as voicemail, ISDN, Automatic Call Distribution, Cordless telephony and Intelligent Call Routing have increased contactability and therefore customer service. This, coupled with the ability to support voice, data, text and video over existing telephone lines, makes the DX a total communication solution for any dynamic, demanding business communications environment. More than six million lines and 17,000 systems have been sold in the UK and internationally.
"Realitis DX has set a standard for others to follow ever since it hit the market," said Mr Hardiman.
"Revision 8 gives Realitis users a seamless journey to wherever technology and associated applications take us and the application packs can be developed quickly and to meet customer needs".
