Enhanced PLEXIS Claims Manager Web-based Front-end Reduces Administrative Costs
for Cayman General Insurance Company, Ltd.
Improved web access streamlines
physicians administrative tasks
Ashland, Oregon -- January 7, 2003 -- An updated, web-based front-end for the http://www.plexisweb.com">PLEXIS Claims Manager has significantly reduced the administrative costs for health care providers who access data from Cayman General Insurance Co. Ltd. Using the enhanced web-based access, Cayman General provides participating health care professionals with instant eligibility verification via the Internet. They can also obtain online preauthorization for treatment to be furnished to their patients. After providing the authorized medical services, physicians are able to produce super bills, submit their claims electronically, and provide patients with PLEXIS-generated EOBs.
On receipt of the EOB, each patient pays their portion of the charges immediately after the services are rendered, and to further reduce administrative tasks and costs, providers can have their insurance payments deposited directly into their bank accounts through electronic funds transfer (EFT). They can then access secure electronic vault accounts that hold all of their relevant financial information. Not only does the new web-based front-end facility reduce administrative costs, but also it is virtually paperless.
Cayman General Insurance has seen tremendous growth over the past year in the number of lives it insures. To help it efficiently and appropriately administer its health insurance portfolio, Cayman General chose the PLEXIS' suite of products to facilitate accurate and automatic claims adjudication, referral authorizations, benefit administration and contract management.
"At Cayman General, we had been searching for a flexible health insurance system to accommodate our planned growth, and PLEXIS has more than lived up to our expectations. This enhancement to their web-based front-end is just further proof of their commitment to clients," commented Trevor H. B. Stewart, Senior Vice President for life & health insurance at Cayman General. "We continue to enjoy a very positive working and personal relationship that we have developed over the last several months between ourselves and the people at PLEXIS," Dr. Stewart added.
"We are very pleased that Cayman General Insurance is realizing a good return on their investment due to the installation of the PLEXIS Claims Manager. We are proud to be a part of the growth and success of this well-managed company," said PLEXIS President and CEO, Jorge Yant.
