(PRWEB) January 29, 2003 -

Participating Historically Black Colleges and Universities included Alabama State Univ., Bethune-Cookman College, Fisk Univ.,Grambling State Univ., Howard Univ., Miles College, Spelman, Southern Univ. and A&M College, Xavier and many others. You can get a list of other participating colleges by visiting http://www.blackcollegeexpo.com

Several exhibitors also set up shop at the Expo, one which of course was PUGILIST GEAR and again TEAM PUGILIST GEAR (TPG) did it up in style according to Heather Williams, PUGILIST representative. Teen models, Monique, Keisha, Tamara, Britany, James aka Julius, D'Amato and Barron showcased the expo in a variety of T-Shirts while they talked to other high school students about the importance of attending college.

Dana Hardwick, PUGILIST representative, who was assisted by 'Skinny B'. (PUGILIST'S Trade show coordinator) manned the booth answering questions from inquiring young minds. The most intriguing question for us here at PUGILIST and the one we love the most is, "How do you pronunce, 'Pugilist' and what does it mean?" Well, the correct pronunciation is (pyoo ji list) and the Webster Universal College Dictionary gives the meaning for pugilist as follows: fist or fight; a person who fights with the fist; a boxer; professional fighter. However for the staff at TEAM PUGILIST GEAR, the term 'Pugilist', meaning fist or fight, does not pertain strictly to the physical sense but to the mental as well. Everyday life is a constant struggle, a fight! Some of us fight just to get up every morning. We fight through rush hour traffic, we fight for that well deserved promotion, we fight to gain respect, we fight to accomplish our personal goals. Unfortunately our country maybe facing a state of pugilism. Whatever your FIGHT....PUGILIST® Gear, a registered trademark, is here to represent your style! That's what PUGILIST promotes...The everyday LIFE FIGHT!

The response that PUGILIST GEAR received from the expo visitors was astonishing. PUGILIST GEAR sold and distributed over two thousand T-Shirts in less than three hours, which of course made TEAM PUGILIST very happy.

With this in mind, the next most important question that our VP of sales loves to hear is, "Where can we get PUGILIST GEAR?" PUGILIST GEAR is currently an online store in the business of T-Shirts and caps. However due to popular demand by our current customer base and funds received from a major financial force, 'PUGILIST' will be broadening our clothing line coming SUMMER 2008 which will include a full scale urban hip-hop sports clothing line.

TEAM PUGILIST GEAR(TPG), at this time would also like to thank Bill & Gail James, Kevin Dreher and Ellis & Virginia Fears, who came out as volunteers to support and help operate the TPG booth for the Black College Expo.
