New England author, John Philpin, forensic psychologist and international expert on violent behavior was one of the first independent profilers in the United States. A recipient of numerous awards for contributions in murder investigations, his forensic work was featured in Philip Ginsburg's book, Shadow of Death.
The author of six books, his published work includes: Beyond Murder, 1994, the inside story of the Gainesville student murders. Stalemate, 1997, a true story of child abduction and murder in the San Francisco Bay Area, featured on the ABC series Vanished --February 2002.
Philpin has been a guest commentator on Court TV's Prime Time Justice and appeared on 20/20 Downtown, Unsolved Mysteries, America's Most Wanted, Inside Edition, Chronicle, The Geoff Metcalf Show, The Jim Bohannon Show, Northwest Afternoon and CBC's As It Happens.

Patricia Sierra is an award-winning writer whose short fiction and poetry have been published in literary magazines. She is the author of three novels for young adults. Her interest in crime and law enforcement led to a brief career as a private investigator. She lives in Ohio.
