McGladrey Contract Business Services to Provide Retail Accounting Services to National Grocery Distributors Customers
McGladrey Contract Business Services has completed the transition of approximately 500 retail accounting customers of a national grocery distributor to its accounting, payroll, bill paying and income tax services.
(Pleasant Prairie, WI -- January 30, 2003) -- McGladrey Contract Business Services has completed the transition of approximately 500 retail accounting customers of a national grocery distributor to its accounting, payroll, bill paying and income tax services.
A national grocery distributor made the announcement in July 2002 that it was getting out of the retail accounting business effective October 31, 2002, and encouraged their current customers to transfer to McGladrey Contract Business Services (MCBS). MCBS hired most of the existing staff to serve their new clients. Customers transitioned to MCBS in November 2002.

By outsourcing their retail accounting, the distributor is able to concentrate on other parts of their business and offer their customers improved service and technology." said Mark Schreiner, Managing Director at MCBS.

MCBS is implementing new accounting and payroll software systems. The new payroll package allows companies to enter, approve, and update payroll information via the web as well as view their reports on-line.
