Jamaica Plain, MA -- On March 6th, 2003, Susan Wornick of WCVB-TV 5 will host The CHANCES Event at the Hilton Boston Back Bay hotel in Boston. The fundraiser fully benefits the Womens Violence Prevention Project of The Friends of the Shattuck Shelter.

The program features a silent auction and a raffle that could take you and a guest to a private waterfront studio guest cottage in Bermuda. Attendees at the event will enjoy a myriad of hefty and delicate hors d'oeuvres in the elegant musical confluence of a cocktail piano and a blues singer. Dance the night away to the music of Millennium, featuring outstanding harmonies, infectious beats, a diverse repertoire of R&B, Swing, Classic Rock and current Top 40!

Last year the event raised over $30,000, which directly went to the Womens Violence Prevention Project. It was a festive, sparkling occasion with a commendable, noteworthy cause", said Deborah Nelson, Director of Development at The Friends of the Shattuck Shelter.

Local and national political leaders and celebrities will be in attendance.
