Mexican American Opportunity Foundation Family and Resource Center in Santa Ana Needs Your Financial Support

MAOF today announced the need for the support of sponsors and community members in order to continue helping the Hispanic community and others who benefit from their programs. Recently, a number of MAOF grant funded programs have ended and it has been necessary to eliminate 80% of the Centers staff, placing these wonderful programs at risk. MAOF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help families reach self-sufficiency and independence with programs, free of charge, such as: Computer and Internet Classes, School Readiness Courses, Child Care Provider Training, Financial Literacy, Family Resource and Referrals, Childrens Ballet Folklorico and many others.

Santa Ana, CA, Monday, February 3, 2003 - The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, (MAOF), Family Service and Resource Center in Santa Ana today announced the need for the support of sponsors and community members in order to continue helping the Hispanic community and others who benefit from their programs. MAOF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help families reach self-sufficiency and independence with programs, free of charge, such as: Computer and Internet Classes, School Readiness Courses, Child Care Provider Training, Financial Literacy, Family Resource and Referrals, Childrens Ballet Folklorico and many others.

Recently, a number of MAOF grant funded programs have ended and it has been necessary to eliminate 80% of the Centers staff, placing these wonderful programs at risk. "We are here to provide comprehensive support services to the Hispanic community by providing cost free programs that can really impact an individuals life", says the Centers Administrator, Mr.Tim Morales. "At this crucial time, we are in urgent need of financial donors and thank everyone contributing to the Center. We continue to be dedicated to serving all those in need of our services and hope that we can also continue to provide them with the quality programs we offer by raising the necessary funds."

MAOF plans to celebrate their 7th Anniversary Gala at the beautiful Santa Ana Performing Arts Center on Friday evening, April 11, 2003 and is currently looking for sponsors. In the past, MAOF has honored businesses, agencies and organizations that have demonstrated excellence in commitment and support for our community. In addition to the presentation, there will be dinner, music and exciting Salsa dancing.
