Europe A Key Target For ClinPhone

Clinical Technology Organisation ClinPhone is targeting the important European market with a new office in Heidelberg, Germany that will work alongside its existing operation in Brussels, Belgium.

Nottingham, UK - 3 February 2003 - Clinical Technology Organisation ClinPhone is targeting the important European market with a new office in Heidelberg, Germany that will work alongside its existing operation in Brussels, Belgium.

Headed up by the recently appointed Stefan Schaaf, the office will target pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany - still one of the biggest potential markets for ClinPhone's web and telephone-based IT applications.

Schaaf believes the European market has huge potential for the company. "Europe, and particularly Germany, used to be the third biggest market in the world. Even if that has changed in recent times it is still extremely important for ClinPhone to be present in such an important geographical market.

"Europe will grow, and looking at all of the East European countries, they are becoming much more important to our pharmaceutical sponsors and will have a significant part to play in the future."

ClinPhone's services are already tailor-made for the European market. "The techniques and the requirements are the same the world over, because all companies have to follow the same international guidelines," added Schaaf. "ClinPhone fulfils these in every trial, wherever the study might be."

The ClinPhone Group is now the largest and most experienced industry specialist in global e-clinical trial management, having supported more than 720 clinical trials in over 80 countries and 70 languages.

It designs, develops and manages telephone and Internet-based IT applications that dramatically reduce costs and improve the efficiency of conducting clinical trials. Its systems are unique within the sector and are now regarded as the industry standard for improving electronic trial management and process workflow.
