PRESS RELEASE

Artiso Corp enhances Visual Case

Visual Case version 2.4 delivers a more powerful design tool for software development, database design and business analysis.

Toronto, Canada -- Feb 5, 2003 -- Programmers, analysts, systems architects and consultants will benefit from version 2.4 of Visual Case. This powerful CASE tool combines the UML modeling language, legacy diagrams and database design tools with round trip database engineering and a sophisticated SQL Editor into one integrated package. Included in this release is a new Java code engineer

Developed by Artiso Corporation, Visual Case enables developers to implement practical systems meeting real business needs. The program provides several diagram types including:

•   UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams;
•   Entity Relationship Diagrams;
•   Flow Charts and
•   Data Flow Diagrams.

The innovative user interface has been improved in this release for even simpler preparation of diagrams with auto-linking, alignment and spacing tools. Diagram objects can be exploded into sub-diagrams and grouped into packages. The round-trip database engineer keeps the physical databases synchronized with the design models.

This release improves support for referential integrity and procedure and trigger script syntax. The Engineer converts between database types (e.g. reverse engineer a legacy database through an ODBC link and forward engineer to Oracle, SQL Server etc). Visual Case includes a context sensitive SQL editor, spell checker, reports and a web export allowing a complete project to be browsed as a web site.

The new code engineer will build Java code from class diagrams and build class objects from existing code. Support for .Net and other languages are planned for future releases.
The Dynamic Viewer lets the user explore complex diagrams and database structures without manually formatting a diagram. This is particularly useful after reverse engineering a large database or Java application.

Currently available for the Windows platform, Linux version soon to be released. The Visual Case Database Engineer currently supports Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL and will reverse engineer most ODBC data sources.

Visual Case continues as the most cost effective CASE tool at US$449. Volume discounts and academic pricing are available. Evalution/30 day free trial is available at www.visualcase.com.
Artiso Corporation was founded in 2000 to deliver cost effective tools to the development community. Artiso Corp. is a privately held corporation.
