SAM DONALDSON TO CHAIR 10TH ANNIVERSARY "STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE AWARDS."
Sam Donaldson chairs the MIBTP/Broadcasting Training Programs annual benefit to help college grads get into the news business.
Long-time supporter and previous honoree Sam Donaldson of ABC News, will chair the 10th Anniversary, "Striving for Excellence Awards and Benefit Dinner." The dinner is tentatively scheduled for October 9, 2003 in Beverly Hills, CA.
The Striving for Excellence Awards and Benefit Dinner recognizes broadcast and entertainment professionals who strive to make a difference in their communities.
A few past honorees have been: Sam Donaldson, Dan Rather, Cokie Roberts, NBC President Bob Wright, The Young and the Restless, Dateline NBC, William T. Whitaker; as well as dozens of local news personalities.
The (Minorities in) MIBTP/Broadcasting Training Program is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization formed to provide training to minority college graduates in radio and television news reporting and news management.
Dinner sponsorships range from $3,500.00 to $10,000.00. Individual tickets are $350.00.
