eSociety, Inc. Launches New Online Community for Consumers; A Matching System for More Than Just Dating

eSociety, based out of Newport Beach, California, launches a new online community that caters to the dating, sporting, and recreational interests of active professionals today. This site brings together personal productivity applications such as email and Instant Messaging with online services such as website hosting and online matching services.

Newport Beach, CA, February 10, 2003: eSociety, Inc. unveiled its new communication medium to over six hundred charter members who eagerly explored the various affordances and offerings of the website. eSociety boasts an integrated suite of technologies and tools specially designed to serve the diverse needs of active professionals. Bringing together personal productivity applications such as email and Instant Messaging with online services such as website hosting and online matching services, eSociety seeks to accommodate all the online needs of its members in one place.

eSociety believes that its target audience, the successful professional, typically has many different networking groups for various professional or social functions and activities. eSocietys service allows members to create separate and distinct profiles" in different communities to interact with other members in certain ways -- sharing only information that they choose with members of a certain community.

There are many online sites that continue to proliferate, but almost all of the are slight variations on the same dating theme," said Steven Scherer, President of eSociety, Inc. We have designed a database structure that offers separate and distinct communities: dating, sports/activities, and interests/hobbies. Members can enjoy each community at their own discretion, presenting different kinds of information for each community."

eSociety has also developed a patent-pending technology and process that allows members to share private information in each community in an easy and secure way. Understanding that some standard information is more sensitive than other information, eSocietys profile and permission system allows members to disclose information gradually to other members as they become more comfortable with them. Members dont have to decide between a dichotomy of absolutely public or absolutely private," said Michael Gow, Creative Director. On most sites, information members write in their profiles are available for the world to see. We think most people would prefer to control the dissemination of personal information with a little more finesse than what the all-or-nothing technology that most other matching sites offer demands."

For early adopters eSociety offers a generous three-month free membership to explore the site, but Scherer warns that this offer is available only for a limited amount of time. We offer a lot of services for the same price that many other companies charge for only one or two simple functions," said Scherer. As we grow well have to limit the use of our site by guests so that we can dedicate more resources to our members."
