IP Telephony specialists BOScom of Leicester will be demonstrating its new BOSāNOVA IP Telephony gateways designed for multi-site SME, enterprise and international applications. With three UK distributors on board - Nimans, Dacon and Tekdata - BOScom has already recruited numerous specialist dealers and system integrators now selling the product, and is looking for many more throughout the UK and Ireland as soon as possible.
The new IP Telephony gateways offer any enterprise the easiest-to-use, most flexible and economical means to deploy VoIP, providing networked telephony between any number of locations, including corporate headquarters, remote branches, suppliers, dealers and individuals such as home workers and road warriors.
Priced from just 1,275, the new Linux-based BOSāNOVA gateways use four compression codecs, between 6.3 and 64 KBits/second, an adaptive smart jitter buffer and patent-pending algorithms to guarantee the highest voice quality, free site-to-site phone calls over existing VPNs, intranets and even the public Internet. An intuitive wizard enables installation in just 5 minutes.
The target market is any company with multiple national or international branch offices who may circumvent the public switch telephone network by installing BOSāNOVA gateways at each location. And for teleworkers, any phone, anywhere, any time, all they need is a Pentium PC with a USB port and they too can make free phone calls over the company's data network or the Internet using BOSāNOVA Connect, an external, plug and play, personal gateway device, costing just 99 RRP.
"The product's ease of installation, modular expansion and ability to interface with all existing PBXs, VPNs and Internet infrastructure make it ideal for any dealer in the telecoms sector," says Graham Jacklin, BOScom's European Managing Director. "Not only does it give them an excellent reason to revisit existing customers, but it provides the only low cost and non-intrusive introduction to enterprise-wide IP Telephony - a market which according to IDC is set to grow by 45% per annum to reach $15.1 billion by 2007."
At the CCE Show, BOScom will have a prize draw for a 4-port IP Telephony gateway together with four BOSāNOVA Connect units. In fact this 99 unit, a laptop and standard handset are all that is needed for any dealer to provide their customers with an effective speech quality demonstration as well as free Internet calls to BOScom and its distributors.
