Delta Education lauched a new series of activity kits based on the tremendously popular PBS Kids series, "ZOOM." Each kit is an engaging and educational mix of games, crafts, experiments, and more designed to appeal to ZOOM fans ages six and up.

ZOOM® Books Plus Adventure Now Available from Delta Education
New Kits Get Kids in on the Action of the Classic Series

February, 2003 - Nashua, NH - Delta Education, LLC, launched a new series of activity kits based on the tremendously popular PBS Kids series, ZOOM."

   ZOOM Books Plus Adventure are an engaging and educational mix of games, crafts, experiments, and more designed to appeal to ZOOM fans ages six and up. Each compact, colorful kit contains a step-by-step activity guide to more than 50 ZOOMwritten activities plus an assortment of supplies needed to carry them out. Additional features such as guest interviews, brainteasers, and exclusive peeks behind-the-scenes at ZOOM encourage kids to pore over all 60-plus pages of the book.

   ZOOM has been a hit with kids - and their parents when they were kids - since the 1970s," said Louisa Walker, Vice President, Special Markets, for Delta Education. ZOOM Books Plus Adventure let kids experience ZOOM through exciting hands-on activities they can do at home with family and friends."

   Produced by Boston PBS affiliate, WGBH, ZOOM attracts close to five million viewers per week and airs daily on hundreds of PBS stations from coast to coast. Unique visitors to the ZOOM web site (www.pbskids/org/zoom) reached 40 million in fall 2002.

   Four brand new ZOOM Book Plus Adventure titles have been developed by Delta Education, including ZOOM Dos You Can Do with craft-it, build-it, and bake-it activities; ZOOM Fun Outside, ZOOM Zingers body and brainteasers, and ZOOM Fun With Friends. The kits are available at national and local bookstores and can be ordered from the WGBH web site at www.shop.wgbh.org.
