Information Security Corporation (ISC) announces a Lotus Notes plug-in for the 5.6 version of its SecretAgent software.
Information Security Corporation (ISC) announces a Lotus Notes plug-in for the 5.6 version of its popular file encryption program, SecretAgent. The capability will allow Lotus Notes users to send SecretAgent secured and authenticated e-mail to other SecretAgent users. Like all other ISC e-mail plug-ins, this capability is free, and can be acquired by downloading it from ISCs website.
SecretAgent is the premier multi-purpose file encryption and digital signature utility with the ability to secure files and e-mail in diverse environments. It is designed to run on multiple platforms enabling the secure exchange of information using encryption and/or authentication. Designed around the principle that information is to be shared and that sharing information securely should be easy, SecretAgent had already featured a plug-in for Microsoft Exchange, Outlook 98/2000/XP, and Netscape 6.2 as downloads for SecretAgent customers. Feedback received from several large Lotus Notes installations suggested that security features within Lotus Notes have added a degree of user complexity preventing widespread adoption of security measures for information sharing in that environment. Now, with the addition of the new Lotus Notes plug-in, SecretAgents intuitive and easy-to-use interfaces allow users to quickly and easily encrypt, decrypt, sign, and verify files in the Lotus environment. This method adds user interface elements to the e-mail application so that users may easily indicate, with the press of a button, that they wish the e-mail they are composing be encrypted and/or signed. By simply pressing send", the message is then encrypted and/or signed before being sent. This process secures both the e-mail body and all attachments.
