AMIDST THE BUSTLE OF NYCS GARMENT DISTRICT, CUTTING EDGE STUDIO TECHNOLOGY BRINGS MUSICAL & LITERARY PROJECTS TO LIFE

CDM Studios was built from the ground up to be an accessible, unpretentious environment where its intimacy and cheerful staff provide the best atmosphere for creativity and efficiency.

In the winter of 1998, Charles de Montebello coupled his twelve years of practical experience at large recording studios with a modest investment to build CDM Sound Studios - located in midtown Manhattan. CDMs services include Recording, Mastering, and Digital Editing, using state of the art equipment and software, respected by industry professionals the world over. More specifically, CDMs capabilities include: voice talent search, auditions and bookings, direction and production of voice over and narration for commercial radio spots and
pre-recorded tours and audio books. More technical abilities include time stretching and pitch shifting of speech and music, digital editing of media types including DV, CD, DAT, minidisc, cassette, reel-to-reel, vinyl and more. Finally, mastering services feature ADR, sound design, sound effects, restoration and audio mixing for eventual authoring to DVD, CD Audio or CD ROM.

According to de Montebello, in addition to our technical know-how, its the environment that sets CDM apart from other audio shops in town. When artists arrive at our studio, they step into an unpretentious and comfortable space, where they can relax and ease into their sessions." He goes on to say, production quality and attention to detail are key factors in the successful relationships we have with the producers and our corporate clients."
De Montebellos professional history includes extensive experience with most industry standard DAWS (Digital Audio Workstations). His speed and intimate knowledge of the software gives him an edge behind the keyboard and, his dealings with various software giants enhances his sensitivity to large corporate culture. This solid background is a definite plus for the time sensitive and cost conscious client.

A true testament to the adage, Word of Mouth is the best advertisement", CDM has secured a loyal clientele without launching a major marketing campaign. Satisfied customers include Acoustiguide, Antenna Audio, ASCAP, The City of New York, and publishing giants Random House and Simon and Schuster. Adding to the studios quiet cache is the caliber of talent that has come through the doors and stepped into the recording booth. Among the many notables are living legends like Sidney Poitier, Kathleen Turner, Paul Newman and the dynamic duo, Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis. And more recently, CDM has expanded into the world of motion pictures, mixing independent feature films.

Over the long term, Charles de Montebello wants CDM Studios to evolve into a formidable resource for both audio and video projects and the type of facility where all demands for service can be met without hesitation.
