The RTIS II provides manufacturers in the reel to reel industry with a safe and accurate method of marking defective material during production.

The RTIS II is used to apply user defined, self-adhesive tabs to a moving web of material, identifying features such as:

„h Start and finish of make-ready
„h Deviations in coating
„h Deviations in weight

Multiple user defined fault codes may be programmed into the RTIS II. These can be changed as and when required, particularly useful when changing materials, which may require different faults to be identified.

Identification of the defects is carried out either automatically, using various forms of sensors and web inspection systems, or by visual observation (manual).
