Alpine Adventures is announcing a special travel bargain to Peru. This trip is an investigation of a new itinerary and is being offered at the incredible price of $1860 (including round trip International Air Miami/Lima and all flights within Peru). The main focus of this trip is the Sacred Valley surrounding Cusco and a hike on the Inca Trail into Machu Picchu. We require travelers who are physically fit and willing to share accommodations for this investigatory trip.
The spectacular Andes Mountains offer an incredible variety of activities and attractions for the adventurous traveler. Machu Picchu is the main attraction in the high Andes of southern Peru, and there is no better way to experience the area than on a 10-day intimate tour. The route leads to some of the regions most scenic sites through terrain dotted with Inca Ruins and shadowed by peaks reaching over 12,000 feet. Along the way you will pass through local indigenous communities, to experience firsthand the colorful culture of the Quechua, the descendants of the mighty Inca Empire.
Price: $1860 per person. Inclusions: International round trip air Miami/Lima, round trip air Lima/Cusco, transfers, all accommodations, meals where indicated, entry fees to Inca sites, English speaking guides, most camping equipment (tent, camp mattress, camping stools and tables, Porter for carrying personal belongings and camping gear), bus from Machu Picchu down to Aguas Calientes, train from Aguas Calientes to Cusco, all river rafting equipment. Exclusions: Gratuities, fees for optional activities, alcoholic beverages, meals not indicated, sleeping bag (available for rent), and airport taxes. Itinerary: May 2- Arrival into Lima and transfer to hotel. May 3-Flight Lima to Cusco.
Transfer to hotel for rest before afternoon tour to Inca sites (Sacayhuaman, Q'enqo, Pucapucara, Tambomachay, Q'oricancha temple and the Great Cathedral). May 4-Horse riding to Huylloc (Quechuan Village). May 5-Rafting Urubamba River with Picnic lunch. May 6-Tour in the Sacred Valley: Pisac market, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros. May 7-9-Hiking the sacred Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The route following the Urubamba River (a trail less traveled...The trip off the main Inca Trail provides the opportunity to see many Inca sites rarely visited by tourists). May 10-Train Aguas Calientes to Cusco. Leisure afternoon to prepare for the trip home. May 11-Cusco to Lima. Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Lima. City tour in Lima visiting the Old Town and the Archeological museum. Evening transfer to the airport for overnight International flight home. May 12-Mid-day arrival in Miami.
