Vermont Company responds to Presidents call for National Cyber Security Response

Square One Computer Security Services announces it is acclerating the launch of their new firewall program, Secure Perimeter, in response to the President's call for National Cyber Security Response. Square One is a leading provider of computer and information security services for financial institutions.

Brattleboro, Vermont -- In response to the HomeLand cyber security concerns addressed in the recent posting by the Bush administration National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace (http://www.whitehouse.gov/pcipb/) Square One Computer Security Services, Inc. of Vermont announced today its plans to accelerate the release its new cyber security response system, Secure Perimeter in the spring of 2003.

Secure Perimeter computer security system is a next generation high tech firewall and lock down system, with patent pending 'One Button reporting for system administrators to report all relevant attack information to the National infrastructure protection center using NIPCs Cyber Threat and Computer Intrusion Incident Reporting Guidelines. Craig Cantwell, CEO of Square One stated, Secure Perimeter has been in development for over two years and is a solution that exactly meshes our national security needs for reporting and responding to cyber attacks. Secure Perimeter is an interactive firewall designed to allay concerns in the private sector from groups opposed to information sharing about network threats because of fears that the information would eventually become public. 85% of our critical infrastructure is controlled by the private sector and as a nation we must consolidate our intelligence about cyber attacks in order to combat cyber terrorism."

Secure Perimeter fills a void for a single, turnkey security system that is both interactive for combating cyber attacks in real time and automatically reports all relevant information to the NICP. Cantwell went on to say By and large most commercially available firewalls are Swiss Cheese that cyber rodents easily by pass and there is no nexus solution for reporting cyber attacks to give us ongoing intelligence" Secure Perimeter fills this void. Cantwell hopes to help stabilize national infrastructure by working closely we both private sector and government to accelerate the adoption of a Secure Perimeter solution.
