Austin, TX - February 19, 2003 -- Tech-Connected, Inc., a wireless device manufacturer today announced the launch of Phone Cord Eliminator (PCE ), a wireless device for laptop computer users to effectively cut the cord". The PCE is intended to offer laptop users the freedom to access email, the Internet, or other networking functions wirelessly by plugging the devise into the headset jack of a cordless home phone.

   The PCE kit provides a high-speed wireless connection to a telephone line using an unlicensed frequency band at 900 megahertz and more. The PCE plugs into the computers modem and uses a phone and base unit to provide a wireless data link. It provides a robust connection between the two at distances up to 300 feet.
   "Given the overwhelming response for PCE , first in beta testing and now in its first two markets, we believe that our simple, affordable wireless devise has been well received," said Dave Richards, president of Tech-Connected, Inc. We're excited about bringing the PCE to additional markets across the United States."

And then, all I had to do was swap my cordless phone out and put a charged battery in the old laptop and got another four hours of wireless access. My notebook battery runs down before my cordless phone", continued Richards, who stated the company has recently signed a distribution agreement with Teledynamics, a high-volume distributor for cordless phones. The company also is negotiating with national retailers, some big name ISPs and PC makers.
