magic4 plans IOT Demonstration to show how messaging market success can be furthered through interoperability
...live demonstration of multi-vendor interoperability suite at 3GSM...
UK, 19 February 2003 - magic4 is inviting 3GSM World Congress attendees to an exclusive demonstration of its multi-vendor interoperable messaging suite. magic4s IM embedded and J2ME clients, which are both Wireless Village accredited, will be demonstrated at Cannes in conjunction with the servers of Ericsson, Followap, MessageVine and Openwave. magic4s MMS client, industry standards compliant, will also be demonstrated alongside other MMS clients and MMS-Cs.
Simon Wilkinson, CEO magic4 commented: The success of the whole market is predicated on standards, and no single operator or manufacturer can afford to ignore the demands of both suppliers and consumers for a stable, reliable service. The industry needs to collaborate and invest in standardised interoperable solutions. magic4s IOT programme will ensure that the leading software and hardware vendors minimise fragmentation of the market to enable seamless interoperability of mobile technologies, and therefore stimulate the growth of mobile services. Our approach is very practical as we are offering a multi-vendor testing suite which infrastructure companies and handset manufacturers can readily use".
Simon Wilkinson continued: magic4s commitment to interoperability has seen us develop closer relationships with a number of infrastructure vendors, and we have been impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the participating companies. We are looking forward to developing these relationships further with companies like Ericsson, Followap, MessageVine and Openwave during 2003."
magic4 has a suite of messaging clients including EMS, MMS, wireless village instant messaging, SyncML and email, all developed in a modular format, enabling mobile device manufacturers to deliver a seamless consumer user experience.
