Tigetek Associates, Inc. signs agreement with Link-Nexus, Project Management Division of North American Van Lines, to share services worldwide.
Sacramento, CA -- February 19 2003 -- Tigetek Associates, Inc., proudly announces the expansion of its service capabilities. Tigetek and Link Nexus, an arm of North American Van Lines, have signed a working partner agreement, which gives 2nd Avenue Interiors, the Office Furniture Division of Tigetek, an extended range of service capabilities worldwide. In today's ever changing economical position, it is necessary in order to maintain that competitive edge to be service oriented. By extending our abilities worldwide, we now can service the customer regardless of where that customer may be. The increased business from the internet has made our sales national, so it only stands to reason that we would want to extend our services the same way.
This alliance will provide us with professional installers, movers, and warehouse space throughout the U.S., and Canada as well as give us the ability to ship worldwide. Since 2nd Avenue Interior moved its location from Grass Valley California to Sacramento in December of 2000, the business has prospered and grown, and this alliance was just another step in the overall program of growth established years ago, by the founder and Chief Executive Officer, Robert B. Hicks. Mr. Hicks continues, that with the ever changing climate of the world today, flexibility is a necessity in any business, and primarily in the Office Furniture Business. "Used", "Useable As Is" Office Furniture has never been in more demand, and the range of buyers now includes the dealers of new furniture, who are open to other avenues of sales because of the economy.
In order to service these Dealers, it is absolutely imperative that national capabilities exist. We are purchasing from or contracting to sell for major companies throughout the U.S. and Canada, which demands that we have the ability to remove furnishings, ship furnishings, and install furnishings everywhere. We also need the capability to temporarily store furniture that must be removed prior to it being sold, and this alliance gives us that capability.
The alliance brings with it the ability for worldwide shipping, which opens up the possibility of working with other countries in the sale of "Used" office furnishings, something that has been considered and researched but never acted on. Some areas of the U.S. are in a growth mode, and some areas are in a "wait and see" mode. To insure growth and maintain its position, it is necessary to be able to sell to the areas that are dictating growth, and with the internet presence that Tigetek has established, this is theoretically possible, and this alliance now makes it physical reality.
