Mega Best Selling Author Mark Victor Hansen Teams With Readers Radio to Reshape the Publishing Landscape With the Launch of a Breakthrough Book Selling Model. 'Killer App' Is Chicken Soup for the Entire Publishing Industry, Clearing Huge Road Block for Authors and Ensuring That the Best Books Get to the Market
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- JackStreet Media announced today that the company has teamed with Mark Victor Hansen, co-founder of the best selling Chicken Soup for the Soul series, to launch JackStreet Media's breakthrough book marketing program called the Nanocasting System(TM). The system combines digital broadcasting and a system for hyper-targeting the audience called Nanocasting. Nanocasting has been proven to dramatically increase direct response rates by targeting the most highly receptive audiences. Where broadcasting typically yields a 1 in 100,000 response rate, Nanocasting can yield a much as a 1 in 10 response.
The system has been a highly guarded secret for the last two years while the program has been under development. Hansen will be unveiling the details of how the system works at his Mega Book Marketing Conference on March 28, 29 and 30th. Parts of the system were used to drive Hansen's One Minute Millionaire to number one on Amazon.com in 24 hours.
"We are excited to work with Mark to launch this innovation. Mark is visionary, a big idea man and a master book marketer. The work that Hansen and Robert Allen did to drive sales of the One Minute Millionaire was one of the test cases used to develop our pioneering Nanocasting model. With his help, we are confident that we have now developed the most powerful book marketing tool on the planet," says Errol Smith, founder of JackStreet Media which owns Readers Radio.
JackStreet Media began developing the Nanocasting System in 2000 when the company launched its Digital Broadcast Network (DBN); then expanded the program this winter with the launch of the Readers Radio Network. Readers Radio is a global network that broadcasts streaming interviews with authors "on demand" to listeners in 96 countries around the world. The company has been testing components of the program separately to maintain secrecy but is now set to launch the integrated system.
"Readers Radio is the most viable channel to reach readers, whether you are a traditional or self-published author," said Mark Victor Hansen, co- author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. "Readers Radio is showing authors how to go directly to their target market, the people that will find you 'omni', that means all attractive and the people that will embrace you and listen to an interview with you and go wow ... that's for me! That's what Readers Radio is going to do for the whole of humanity, get the right books, to the right people, at the right price, at the right time, in the right way," said Hansen.
Not the best sellers but the best books.
Any publishing insider can confirm that it isn't necessarily the best books that make it to the top of the New York Times Best Sellers list. The publishing industry prefers good books by established personalities and established constituencies to great books by an unknown author. "There are hundreds of thousands of authors with exceptional material and extraordinary credentials who are increasingly finding themselves locked out of the book market. Many can't get a publisher, can't get a distributor and can't find a viable way to sell their books in enough volume to cover the costs if they self-publish. The ability to self publish only partially opened the door, because until now, there was no cost-effective way to reach large numbers of readers. Consequently, many authors found themselves sitting with garages full of unsold books and the reading public was deprived. We are happy to say that we can now provide the missing link," says Smith. "The publishing industry is set up to make sure that the 'best sellers' get to market; our system aims to bring readers the 'best books.' This is a revolutionary development in the publishing industry," said Smith.
As part of the agreement, The Readers Radio Nanocasting System will be made available on a first come, first serve basis at Hansen Mega Book Marketing Conference March 28, 29 and 30th. A special press presentation will be made on March 27th. Plans are under way to use the Readers Radio Nanocasting System to market all 61 Chicken Soup Titles, The One Minute Millionaire and other products under development.
