ForestExpress Provides EDI Connectivity to Industry Leaders

Georgia-Pacific and Weyerhaeuser Leverage Industry-Specific Network

ATLANTA, February 19, 2003 - ForestExpress, a leader in business-to-business integration and catalog content services for the forest products and allied industries, announced it is providing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) services to two of the worlds largest forest products companies, Georgia-Pacific (NYSE: GP) and Weyerhaeuser (NYSE: WY). These two key clients join International Paper in leveraging the ForestExpress network for their connectivity needs.

Weyerhaeuser and Georgia-Pacific join a growing list of companies, including International Paper, now transacting business-critical information with their trading partners via ForestExpress. Both companies are transitioning established EDI traffic to ForestExpress, which recently enriched its offering with a strategic partnership with Sterling Commerce, a pioneer in EDI and recognized leader in business integration. This transition gives both Weyerhaeuser and Georgia-Pacific options to take advantage of a variety of connectivity options that ForestExpress has available, including XML-based integration. According to Bob Renner, CEO of ForestExpress, The fact that these Fortune 500 companies trust their critical trading partner connections to ForestExpress and Sterling Commerce is another powerful endorsement of our joint solution. It affirms the value of a reliable, cost-effective solution that positions our customers to selectively enable XML and eventually web services connections, while maintaining their world-class EDI capabilities."

ForestExpress is providing the range of B2B integration solutions we need," said Chris Vike, Director of E-business, Weyerhaeuser. Our transition to their network is underway in earnest, the execution has been solid, and we anticipate directing even more traffic to ForestExpress in the near future."

Kelly Hinson of Georgia-Pacifics Commerce Services added, Weve already seen real savings with ForestExpress. A cost-effective industry operating platform was one of the reasons we and others founded ForestExpress, and were glad to help make that a reality."
